I like to think of myself as a “leap and the net will appear” kind of girl. Remember I am the girl who decided to get married, open a business, have a baby and buy a house…all in one year…and those are just the big things. People ask me all the time “how” I do it all and the truth is barely. First of all I have a lot of help. Like a lot. There are days where I feel like I’m crowd surfing and just praying that I don’t get dropped but somehow I don’t! Second, I actually prefer to have a bunch of things going at once, I get bored very easily and I thrive on deadlines. Lastly and most importantly, I do it one day at a time. It’s all I know and I wouldn’t have it any other way! It makes me a better person and for me it works.
The above quote spoke to me today because it’s so easy to compare ourselves both personally and professionally. It’s easy to look at others and be too hard on ourselves and where we are. So today I am giving myself permission to enjoy and be grateful for the “beginning” of a lot of exciting things and celebrate those who have already made it to their “middle”. Everyone has to start somewhere the important thing is to just START.
